One of the cat apparitions of the Himalayan mountain range is the Pallas Cat. They blend into their surroundings so well I just had to do a piece with this. Here curled up between the rocks is the gorgeous Pallas cat. This piece was done in pastel. Through layering techniques and different strokes I worked to capture the texture and light in this piece. I wished to express that there is life that can be hidden from view between the rocks. It measures approximately 8? x 7?. The original is available unframed for $250.
