So following up with last week’s post, here is another fun thing I love to do with Angel. It is really inspiring for a lot of my artwork when I go and ride out in these desolate places. One that it inspired was my pastel “Spirit of the West”. Galloping horses just look so beautiful.

So experiencing this myself helps so much in my more western styled artwork. Please check out the video! Can you see the tumbleweeds blowing along behind us?

So here is one of the animals that inspire me in a lot of my artwork. This is Angel, a wild mustang I adopted and trained. It was really hard to gentle her but was worth it. She is an amazing horse! Below you can see me riding backwards, with a blindfold, and standing on her. One of my favorite things is to just sleep on her, but that has to be bareback since the saddle isn’t the most comfortable thing to stretch out on.

So here is my newest digital art painting “Dragons of Balance. I must say it was so fun to do some fantasy pics again. “Dragons of Balance” portrays dragons of light and dark, overlapping in unison. The designs for the dragons I came up with were inspired by one of my favorite game series, Fire Emblem. (Btw, if you haven’t played any Fire Emblem games your missing out, they are AMAZING!)

Today, I have an illustration of a scene from a story. Don’t you love Aesop’s hidden lessons! XD

In my portrayal of this story I tried to keep in the style of ancient Greece. The simplicity of the figures and color scheme I though completely captured that image! Anyway check out the scene from the story below:

This is the stray cat living at our place called Creamie. Her favorite past time is laying on the top of a horse when we are saddling. It is amazing to see how some animals interact with others. Sometimes the best ideas for paintings are right in front of you! 🙂

Well, unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a Christmas painting done this year… To make up for that I’m introducing the model for many of my card pictures. Neko my Bengal cat!

Neko, knows how to pose and show off his beautiful coat. His enthusiasm and personality keeps me entertained all the time. You’ll find a number of my cat cards inspired from him.
