The detail of the reflection is progressing! I really liked how it looked at this point but must continue on.. Now onto the water and distorting the tiger reflection.

The birthday for these kittens is coming up! While we didn’t get to keep all of them we got to keep two, Ewok (the fluffy grey tabby) and Sorbie (the orange tabby). Hard to believe they are a year old now!

So here is my concept drawing for my next dragon piece. This next one will be the yellow dragon. It has a lot symbolism in China and I hope to capture some of that in this piece.

It has been quite some time since I posted an update of the progress on this piece. Partly it is because I put this piece on hold while I finished some other artworks. I’ve been messing around with the water and reflection to get it to look how I want. It is mostly base coats right now but I’m loving the look of it!

My 9th installment of my Asian Dragon series is complete! “The Power of Earth” symbolizes obviously the Earth but it also symbolizes autumn and other aspects. I loved having brown symbolize the earth and had the dragon take its place in the Milky Way!

Here is a close up on the progress of my large cougar painting. The shadows have been put in and he is taking on a lot of dimension now. He needs light now to make him pop and have life but hey he is looking pretty good so far!

Amira is a lyra species and is what you could say an exotic singer/dancer pony. She can lure men in seduce them with ease. She is a bit unusual though because she is a thief which isn’t coacher for her culture and people.

The other day I had this wonderful winged visitor! He was so beautiful and kept watching our cat and me as I went around taking his photo. So amazing to have so many types of animals visit our place!

At Utah’s Hogle Zoo, the annual World of the Wild art show is currently exhibiting! My piece “Don’t Blink” was accepted and you can see it if you go to the show. They have so many amazing pieces, like a giant chameleon made out of yarn and other mixed media. Support this show and go visit!

Sometimes it can be difficult to come up with a concept for these dragons. I’ve been trying to make each one unique and a little different while still being the style of dragon I envision for them. With only five colors of dragons left the end is actually in sight for this series. Though it will definitely take its time.
