Power of Regeneration

DESCRIPTION:

The tenth painting in my Colors of Dragons series. This series focuses on the different colors of dragons and their symbolic meaning in Asian culture. The yellow dragon has similar meanings to the gold dragon, but I’ve chosen to have it represent regeneration. The yellow dragon represents the Emperor, the earth’s regenerative capabilities, and lastly the fifth heavenly direction. Interpreted as the center of the earth in some cultures, the yellow dragon has significant meaning in China. I tried to capture that elegance in this piece. This was painted digitally and is available in a variety of sizes of prints.
