STATELY GRACE:
The lynx is a very elusive cat to see in the wild. This is a portrait of one in pastel. I saw a lynx anumber of times when traveling in Alaska at Denali National Park. Larger than a bobcat, the lynx is a hardy, tough cat. The color of their coat is a bit plain compared to other cats but it is a thick and beautiful. I wanted to express the grace of this lynx with this piece. The piece measures approximately 11”x 14”. The original is available for sale at $400 unframed.
